Citrus & Polka Dots

Outfit posts are going to be a little scant even scantier this month since my husband-photog is out of town. My sweet little brother took these ones with my phone. Not too shabby, galaxy s3!
top: old (save, save, splurge) | skirt: J.Crew Factory (now on sale!) | heels: Zara (save, splurge) | watch: Michael Kors | necklace: YK Designs | bracelet: YK Designs | midi ring: c/o ShopLately

The happenings lately:
  • Finished the cross country move. Not too rough considering we drove 30+ hrs in 2 days.
  • Staying at my parents house while B is working in Alaska for a month (boooo...)
  • Was featured on the Three-Fer-Thursday and the Friday's Five linkups a couple weeks ago. Ladies, I know this thank-you is long overdue, but just know I'm blessed to even exist in the same universe as you fashionable girls and your features of my humble blog still makes my day! So #notworthy!
  • Celebrated my 24th last month. Am I a little bummed not to be considered 'early twenties' anymore? yes. Where the crap did the years go? Should I let go of all hope that my boobs still might come in?
  • Trying to decide on my next fall/winter bag. I've considered the Kate Spade Beau in macchiato/black but this Zac Posen beauty is more my style! Thoughts?
  •  Moving to Georgia means reuniting with my little dog. He fell asleep like a human! He loves pillows and here he is clutching the Roku remote. #aww

  • Was looking for some cute kitchen stuff at TJMaxx when I happened upon this gorgeous pair of Betsey Johnson nude bow heels! #reallyreallywant but it's got a pinky undertone that doesn't quite match my skintone. At $50, is it worth it even though we're getting into fall/winter?

  3. I love the mix of polka dots & lemon-y yellow skirt! Wow that is a big move, but welcome (back?) to the East-ish coast, Happy Belated Birthday, and never stop dreaming of what you want ;) haha

I think the Steve Madden version of the bow heels are much, much cuter. A bit more pricey but prolly better quality!

  7. I would never guess this was taken with a camera phone- I LOVE how the necklace looks with the polka dots. I just can't get over it. And hahah I just moved cross country too and in that same way- how brutal was it?! We literally drove through hundreds of miles in a huge thunder storm. Luck was not with us. And I feel you on turning 24. 40 is right around the corner, isnt it?!

  10. I love the neon! And I think you're still "early twenties" until your 25th birthday... then you can admit that it's the mid-twenties.

  18. Wow! Congrats on your successful move. I'm sure you are happy to be near family again. We are contemplating a move so that we can be closer to family as well. I think the Kate Spade Beau is so darling and the ZP is on the edgier side. If you wait it out I'm sure the KS will go on soon during one of their online/email sales...then you can get both ;-)

    Have a great day :-)

  24. Looks like you've got yourself a luxury problem on hand! The Kate Spade is fun and trendy, but the Zac Posen bag is more classic. I think that I would go for the latter as well :) I love this cute outfit by the way. It's so summer-y! It's been ice cold here, and there has been nothing but rain for the past two weeks. I needed to see this right look to remind me that there's a sun somewhere in this universe... xo
