Burgundy + Turquoise

The hubs and I have been currently obsessed with vintage shopping. I love getting lost in antique stores. I can't help but let my imagination run wild on the history behind objects. I adore finding a well worn book with spidery handwriting on the inside cover; a name and a 'return to' address, a little note indicating a birthday gift, or nonsensical scribbles of someone who was practicing their penmanship.

1911 copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales- a fave read from high school and a 1990's edition of Anne of Green Gables- a childhood fave. 1990's is in the awkward stage of baby vintage, but this copy was too gorgeous to pass up.

Isn't this ring just romantic, in all the senses of the word? The emerald-like stone, the intricate detailing, the talon-like prongs that clutches the stone... and the fact that it fits my size 3.5 right hand ring finger? Perfection.

These are a pair of signed Eisenberg earrings circa mid 1930's. I just love the fact that they are unapologetic in their lavishness. And wearing them, I feel like an old Hollywood star about to step onto the red carpet.

    1. Haha, I know. Everyone makes fun of how small my rings are and a lot of jewelers refused to resize my wedding ring.
