The hubs and I have been currently obsessed with vintage shopping. I love getting lost in antique stores. I can't help but let my imagination run wild on the history behind objects. I adore finding a well worn book with spidery handwriting on the inside cover; a name and a 'return to' address, a little note indicating a birthday gift, or nonsensical scribbles of someone who was practicing their penmanship.
Isn't this ring just romantic, in all the senses of the word? The emerald-like stone, the intricate detailing, the talon-like prongs that clutches the stone... and the fact that it fits my size 3.5 right hand ring finger? Perfection.
These are a pair of signed Eisenberg earrings circa mid 1930's. I just love the fact that they are unapologetic in their lavishness. And wearing them, I feel like an old Hollywood star about to step onto the red carpet.
